Edge/Equipped TDI Sheath

Edge/Equipped just introduced the new E/E TDI Sheath. The sheath was created with LAG Tactical and packs some nice features into an affordable package.

EE_TDI_Sheath_with_TDI

It is designed to work primarily as an inside-the-waistband sheath with the two included coated nylon webbing soft loops. However, the sheath is sized so that it can also be used with a single soft loop wrapped around the body of the sheath for outside-the-waistband carry. Both methods of carry allow the wearer to access the knife with either hand.

LAG Tactical takes great care to round and polish the edges of their kydex which makes this sheath very comfortable. The opening is flared to make it easier to sheath your knife. The design is also aggressively dished out near the first finger groove to allow the wearer to establish a full grip while the TDI is still in the sheath. The retention is moderate to allow the sheath to work with both generations of TDI Law Enforcement Knives.

The goal was to keep this affordable since one of the goals of Edge/Equipped is to offer affordable, ready-to-carry defensive knife options. The sheath is available for $36.95 individually or it can be purchased with a TDI at a special package price.

Emerson Knives Hatin Limited Run

The Hatin is the latest design to roll out of Emerson Knives. It features an absolutely wicked Persian style blade that has curves to spare and an upswept point that looks like it could be used to poke an atom. The blade is topped off with a swedge grind, disk opener, and the Emerson Wave opening feature. The handle is typical Emerson meaning you can expect titanium liners, the grippiest G-10 slabs, and just the right contours to lock it in the hand.

The Hatin is currently available for pre-order with the delivery date being anticipated sometime in the next 2-3 weeks.

TOPS Knives EL PATRON XXX

The new EL PATRON XXX from Tops Knives represents a more utilitarian approach to the karambit. It features a drop point blade shape rather than the typical hooked shape. The drop point may give up some of the ripping/catching potential of a traditional karambit in reverse grip but makes the knife more useful in a hammer grip. The EL PATRON XXX was actually designed to sit well in the hand and be useful in a normal forward grip.

This is also the first knife to feature TOPS Knives’ new “Tactical Stone” coating. The coating is a medium brown in color with texturing that has a stone like appearance. It contrasts with deeply grooved, Black G10 handle slabs nicely.

The EL PATRON XXX is ground from 3/16″ 1095 steel. It has a 3 1/2″ blade with a 8 5/8″ overall length. It comes with a handmade Kydex sheath.

Emerson Knives Tiger

Like most Emerson Knives designs, the Tiger is purpose built as a fighting/self-defense knife. As is typical for production Emerson Knives, it has titanium liners with a liner locking mechanism, 154Cm blade steel, and grippy, black G10 handles.

Tiger-9

The Tiger features an interesting, slightly upswept, clip point blade shape that places the cutting edge low in relation to the handle and the tip centered on the axis of the handle. This was an intentional design element that makes the Tiger perform well with both stabbing and slashing cuts.

McDaniel Knives Push Daggers

Push Daggers are intuitive to use, easy to retain, and relatively compact. In spite of that, they rarely get their due. That is why it is so nice to see McDaniel Knives offering one that is nicer than average.

Stealth – New from Joe Watson Knives and Hardwired Tactical Shooting

The HiTS knife, a collaboration between Joe Watson Knives and Darryle Bolke of Hardwired Tactical Shooting, has been a run away success. It will be a tough act to follow but they are going to try with the “Stealth”.

Joe Watson HiTS Stealth Hardwire Tactical shooting

The Stealth is a fairly versatile design that accommodates a number of techniques. It is basically a double edged American tanto shaped blade. The handle is finished with Joe’s excellent epoxy soaked cord wrap and features a deep finger groove for retention and indexing. By sharpening the straight spine of the tanto Joe and Darryle have created a knife that adapts quickly to edge in or edge out techniques – so much so that, at a glance, it is a dead ringer for a typical pikal knife.

The Stealth will be available soon. Check out Joe Watson Knives.

Artificum Solis Bladeworks Andy

The Andy features 3.5″ long, 1/8″ thick O1 Tool Steel blade that has a chisel primary grind with a V ground secondary edge. The blade has a Wharnecliffe profile that gives you plenty of point to work with and helps hold the material being cut on the cutting edge when slashing.

The handle slabs are hand textured micarta and the knife has a 3.5″ handle (7″ overall length). It comes with a kydex sheath.

Poltergeist Works LEGEND Folder
